September 10, 201312 yr Hello, I am getting a 0x800c0005 error while trying to validate the PMDG MD-11. After corresponding with the PMDG ticket support staff for a week, I got the conclusion that I should reinstall Windows, in order to fix my error. Of course this would be the last option for me, as reinstalling would take an enormous amount of time which I really don't have at the moment. I'm running Windows 7 64bit and never had this error before. I also tried these tips (http://support.precisionmanuals.com/KB/a20/error-number-0x800c0005-during-install.aspx), but they didn't work for me, as some of those .dlls don't seem to be included with Windows 7 and therefore can't be reregistered. Maybe someone else had this error and knows what causes it? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Best Regards, Sebastian
September 10, 201312 yr Do you have all the C++ versions (incl the x64 ones)? Did you install under the admin account? Eric [FSX on Windows7 64-bit]
September 10, 201312 yr Author First, thanks for your answer... Yes, I always run installers as admin, so this cannot be the problem. These are all the runtime libraries I currently have installed: I don't know if there is one missing which the MD-11 might need in particular?
