0x800c0005 Error while trying to validate the MD-11...

Featured Replies

Hello,

I am getting a 0x800c0005 error while trying to validate the PMDG MD-11. After corresponding with the PMDG ticket support staff for a week, I got the conclusion that I should reinstall Windows, in order to fix my error. Of course this would be the last option for me, as reinstalling would take an enormous amount of time which I really don't have at the moment.

I'm running Windows 7 64bit and never had this error before. I also tried these tips (http://support.precisionmanuals.com/KB/a20/error-number-0x800c0005-during-install.aspx), but they didn't work for me, as some of those .dlls don't seem to be included with Windows 7 and therefore can't be reregistered.

Maybe someone else had this error and knows what causes it? Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

Best Regards,

Sebastian

Do you have all the C++ versions (incl the x64 ones)?

Did you install under the admin account?

First, thanks for your answer...

Yes, I always run installers as admin, so this cannot be the problem.

These are all the runtime libraries I currently have installed:

I don't know if there is one missing which the MD-11 might need in particular?
