September 13, 201312 yr Hello first of all the 777 is my favorite i love the plane. But i have.one serious problem during a long haul flight at Fl340 sudenly the gear came down and after a while 20 minutes again so is this a bug? I did nothing just sitting did not tough anything. Well hope somebody can help thanks Dick
September 13, 201312 yr Hi Dick Do you have a button on a controller set up for gear extension? If so, might be worth checking your not getting phantom key presses..just a thought. Regards Luke M
September 13, 201312 yr Author Well use my Saitek proflight yoke system but i never had any problems till now did many flights already with the 777 just happen now. :-)
September 13, 201312 yr Get rid of flaps, gear and view change off your yoke buttons and replace them with useful things like trim, right/left brake, autopilot and autothrust disconnect, Transponder on/off/ident for FSinn (if you fly online) and rudder trim (really important if you ever fly props or Q400) and push to talk. Gear should actually take some effort to get at, as in real life (lean forward and across, pull against a reasonably stiff spring loaded pull-out + cycle position lever). Flaps should also be pretty well guarded. Some yokes/joystics/etc push out the occaisional signal 'spike' which may cause some of their buttons to 'press themselves'. This is less common on USB hardware, but not impossible. Trent Hopkinson, 2015 Crewmember of www.mangrove.com.au WorldFlight sim Youtube channel www.youtube.com/user/musicalaviator
