November 21, 200421 yr Hi Chris,Just to add to how happy I am with FS Sky World 2004. Today the weather in Denver, where I live, is just terrible, snow, fog, and low ceilings. On my flight out of here today the most impressive clouds I have ever seen and it looked just like it did out my window. Landing in New Orleans where it is also bad weather, low ceilings also great representation. Working with Active Sky this is one awesome add on. Great WorkBob JohnsonKDEN
November 21, 200421 yr Commercial Member HI Bob, I am glad you like your new environment experience, do not forget to install the snow fix, no more snow circle pattern in you cockpit or external view when the snow precipitation is at heavy or very heavy intensity, it make a big difference.ThanksChris Willis[link:fsw.simflight.com/FSWMenuFsSim.html]Clouds And Addons For MsFs Kind RegardsChris Willis
November 21, 200421 yr My only gripe.....I need to buy a new video card to handle all the lovely visuals.I'm using your most "friendly" clouds, but now I have a tough decision to make.I usually fly with 100% AI traffic, FS Skyworld, and Real World weather.... Somethin's gotta give!!!!
November 21, 200421 yr I just wanted to add my experience with the frame rate friendly clouds and FS sky world. It is very easy to keep your old frame rate friendly clouds and use the new sky world features. In fact FS sky world has the option inherent in its interface to do just that. The HiFPSv2 clouds are included in the release. Just click those and then install the dawn/dusk, snow, moon and night effects to obtain that sweet look ya'll see on the screen shot forum. No frame rate loss and the new colors are amazing.__Josh

November 21, 200421 yr Chris has been a friend for a long time in this forum. Chris as you know I have for a long time pushed for a more realistic sky invironment.I have pushed my real world pictures to hopefully inspire others to see the faults and drawbacks.I am sure you remember some comments in a certain place ;-) re "at least now Peter Sidoli" will be happy with the release of FS2004 ;-)FS2004 opened up a complete fresh look at the sky we fly in by the magnificent team at Microsoft. You have taken that to a level which is visually stunning with your genious and dedication and I thank you for that.As for improvements........I am afraid that lies in the hands of Microsoft and the team.Let us hope that FS2006 will be released and that the team call the new version MSFS 2006 Sky World.I would like to see a living dynamic weather system. A new weather engine which models weather systems. High and low pressure. fronts with their associated cloud formations.Winds which follow the isobars, jetstreams which model the weather systems of the day.Mountain wave, turbulence, winshear, icing......the list goes on.Thunderstorms which are dynamic and real even to the crackle on the radios :-)Most of all a dynamic weather system which as in real world generates fear. With your cloud visuals and such a dynamic weather :-) my lips drool. Thanks ChrisPeterhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/98336.jpg
November 22, 200421 yr HI ChrisNoticed that most(i havn't had time to check them all) are very reflective at night even when there is no moon visible. With the black night fix the clouds standout against the black sky and it doesn't look realistic at all.Any chance of a cloud set which has no reflectivness or a skyset which darkens the light to the point there is no visible clouds at night?Great product and thanks for the effort.Darren
