I'm currently trying to get some GoFlight panels, but wanted to ask if anybody knows the difference between the GoFlight T8 panels.

Take the switch panel for example, the old one and new one look identical, for example:

 

GF-T8-1 Toggle Switch / Indicator Module and the GF-T8-2 Toggle Switch / Indicator Module

 

Both look identical, same price, same colour, same description, but nothing mentioned as to the difference in version name..

If a new one replaces an old one, I would expect the old one not to be sold anymore, or some new features listed on the new one, but there are no differences listed or visible?

I think round toggle switches and flat toggle switches. Mechanically the same I think.

Correct, one has small round toggles and the other has larger, somewhat squared, toggles.
