Illustrated Scenery Catalog

Featured Replies

Hi,I came across this in the AVSIM Library. It is an "Illustrated Scenery Catalog for the United States." The author is "Heather Sherman" and the posting is number 420 (Yesterdays Files) in the library. There are illustrated scenery catalogs of other countries as well. The author also has non-illustrated scenery catalogs available. I thought it was an amazing piece of work (in pdf format). The author has certainly put a considerable amount of time into these works. I believe it is certainly worth checking out.:-outta Tom:-)

good post. Let's keep it up to date. Thx Heather!!billg

It's very useful when trying to locate scenery for a specific area. Hmm maybe something for the AVSim library - why not categorize sceneries according to their geographical position e.g. by state for the US and by country for Europe/Asia/rest of the world. It would probably be too much work to do this for all existing sceneries but new sceneries uploaded could be categorized...?

Sure a nice piece of work. Sad thing is as soon as one new piece of scenery is uploaded, it will be out of date. :(Like the poster above, the idea of scenery sorted by geographic location "online" would not encounter this prob.

Sounds interesting. I wil download that later. In order to easily locate scenery ordered by geogrphical spots I found this a very useful site. It is easier than browsing the libraries and covers a lot of different websites:http://walhalla.mine.nu/fs2004.phpAlex

Heather,Your scenery catalog is, as my grandfather would say, "the bee's knees." :-) As always, Heather, your dedication to our hobby and selfless contributions are greatly appreciated. As it is with your repaints and other work, I must say that it is your attention to detail, high standards of quality and presentation, and flat out hard work that makes you truly stand out as a great in our community. Thanks so much for sharing with us all, and keep up the good work!Kind regards,Kevin
