Check out this new set up reviewed on Tom's Hardware.http://www20.graphics.tomshardware.com/gra...1123/index.html*On a closer read of the benchmarks for FS2004, there doesn't seem to be any benifit over the single 6800 nVidias.

Certainly a false alarm. . . sorry. Maybe the next version of FS will be written for the SLI, dual card setup. At first glance it looked like a real break-thru.

Spending all that cash would be a total waste with regards to FS2004:"According to NVIDIA there are games that are simply not compatible with SLI. Microsoft's Flight Simulator 9 and Novalogic's Joint Operations for example both cause problems. As of the test date we were unable to find out the precise reasons why. NVIDIA only talks about frame buffering techniques used in games of this sort that are problematic for SLI. Of the 10 games we included in this test, two of them were non-SLI-compatible."FS2004 is not "SLI-compatible."End of story... :(

Yeah I was looking into this and digged deep in my pocket, until I read those benchmarks with FS...Alex

"At first glance it looked like a real break-thru."It is a breakthrough for games like Farcry, Doom3 etc. Basically every game that is GPU intensive (and SLI-compatible) showed a major increase. 9300 3DMarks in 3DMark '05 is quite incredible. However I don't know about you, but for me, buying two 6800U for $600 *each* and then having them take up a total of 4 slots (virtually all 6800U's are dual-slot) seems a little extreme. It's possible that in many games, two $300 cards are faster than one $600 card though so there may be some benefit.

LOL - I could hear the squeal of burnin credit cards all over the place for a few scary seconds !!!Eddy:-ufo2

CPU intensive games will not benifit from this. I am waiting for dual-core systems + a rewrite of FS before digging into SLI.
