AI Sounds

Featured Replies

Hi all, how do I set my ai plane's sound config to look under the main FS9 sound foldere where the ai sounds are at? When I check my project ai planes sound config files, they point to the default fs planes instead of the sound folder in FS9.Thanks,Bill

I asked a similar question not long ago, and the answer I got was as follows. If what you are concerned about is the sounds planes make when they taxi past you at the airport, this is entirely automatic and uses a few special AI sound files. This is NOT affected by anything in the sound.cfg file, you do NOT have to do anything to give AI aircraft sounds and you CANNOT alter the sounds an AI aircraft makes by changing the sound.cfg file.In fact, if all you want to do is hear them as they taxi past, AI aircraft do not need a sound.cfg file at all any more than they need a panel.cfg.The sound.cfg file only affects what you hear from the plane you are flying yourself. If you think that is incorrect, I'm only passing on what I was told!
