777F Aircraft.cfg typo?

Featured Replies

Hello there, I was reviewing the 777F aircraft.cfg file a few minutes ago and noticed this line:

[Flaps.0]
type=1                                  W// ** FLAPS **

Isn't the "W" before the commenting "//" causing any weird behavior in the sim, or is FSX internal cfg parser trimming anything beyond the possible 1 or 0 value in that field?

Just in case, the W isn't there in either the pax 777 or in any of the NGX flaps section  (and I don't have FSX SDK installed to verify if there is a valid 1W option for flaps  :lol:)

Thanks!

regards

ps: I haven't modified any of these files either manually or using a 3rd party proggie... it's the vanilla aircraft.cfg (distributed/modified by PMDG ops center I reckon).

Verified that it also exists only in my 77F aircraft.cfg as well.

Thanks for the confirmation... I haven't removed the "W" yet, will wait for PMDG to disregard it's possible effect or to confirm that the "W" should indeed be removed.

I just got home and tried modifying the default Cessna aircraft.cfg Flaps entry and I can confirm that FSX disregards/trims anything after the "0" "1" or "2"  for the Flap "type" variable.

So regardless of the "W" typo in the cfg file, it's definitely not affecting anything at all. Case closed ;-)

cheers
