Can you please try to download "Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1"  and retry the PMDG 777 crash situation ?

I have tried mine and it seems ok....I might need more tests

Windows update automatically installs stuff like this so I don't know what you think this will achieve.

Yes..Correct but Windows installs the latest say version 4.5...What I did is install 3.5 SP 1 and tried again to reproduce the same issue and it is not happening again.

 

I have said there an issue with version of .NET files throwing these exceptions...

 

 

So if your PMDG 777 crashes...try that and update us.
