hi,

I can enter the alternate airport in the FMC, but cannot enter the route and airways to it while setting up my flight plan

 

any feedback would be appreciated

Once your Alternate airport is selected in your FMC, and the "Divert Now" executed, go back to the Route page on your FMC and input whatever route or fix you wish to follow.
