I can't express my gratitude enough for your unselfish and generous support. Your personal attention and effort to my struggles does not go without the utmost appreciation and thanks.

 

Despite your modesty ... you indeed are a pro,and expert in areas of understanding FSX that intimidate only the most knowledgeable of people. I envy the ability to be able to interpret the effects of configuration files and adapt them to the specific challenges of so many different systems. That is indeed a skill. Consider a compliment to be worth a million nods of appreciation (or dollars, or brews ... whatever is most appreciated).

 

Your modified cfg? Well, it has done magic! I am very satisfied with the performance and quality that your work has resulted in. I am getting a consistent 29-30 FPS in my initial testing. I'll test now what impact TEX and AS2012 will have on the base performance. I trust the Nvidia Inspector and Fixer AA settings are adequate?

 

I also wish to express the gratitude of the other individuals that had contributed to this thread. I appreciate the patience and genuine desire to help.

 

I will continue to post if I encounter additional performance issues.

Listen - I'm happy to help where I can. We can't all be experts at everything, and Gxx knows I'm not! (and my wife will tell you that, too!   :lol: )

 

Those two (I assume REX, not TEX?) apps shouldn't make a whole lot of difference, though I would check with REX on the correct (DX10) cloud texture to select.
