Aerosim 787

Featured Replies

I am hoping some one will be able to point me in the right direction with this one; I have recently started using the aerosim 787, looks great although quite basic compared to QW and PMDG models; anyway, I have noticed that I have difficulty opening all but the primary front left passenger door on the aircraft using the 'shift-E-1, 2, 3 or 4 command. The Aerosim 787 instructions provide this information and it seems clear to follow, however, I am feeling quite stupid as I cannot get it to work consistently at all; perhaps I am missing something obvious.

Tried uninstall/re-install all to no avail and then just occasionally it works to some degree although I haven't ascertained how or why. I also have GSX which adds that realism of loading unloading the aircraft, although I have the issue of the Aerosim vehicles turning up as well 'if they decide to' and or cargo doors not opening. Hope there is someone that can help me resolve this and in a simple way that I can understand and implement (this would be a bonus of course)?

Thanks

It may simply be a case of technique:

  • Press Shift key and hold down
  • Press the E key
  • Release both keys
  • Press 2, 3 or 4 as desired on the upper row numbers (NOT keypad numbers)

Thanks Bill,

I will be even more embarrased if it is simply my keyboard technique; will try this evening and hopefully this will be resolved. Sometimes its the simplest of things that you overlook. Any ideas how to disable the Aerosim 787 ground/service vehicles when I use these key combinations so that I don't have overlao with GSX?

Cheers

It's often a case of timing as well, since you have ~2 seconds after releasing Shift-E keys in which to press the desired number.

As for disabling the model's built in service objects, I have no clue whatever. I suspect that probably cannot be done. Try asking in the Aerosim support forum(s) if they exist.
