A number of times I have tried to delete the next waypoint in the flight but have received a message like invalid delete.  How do you manage around this. I understand you can insert easily a waypoint after that way point to remove it but if it is the start of a star or in the middle of a star it doesn't work.

Line Select the waypoint after the one you want to delete to the scratchpad. Then Line select over the one to be delete. Execute and the waypoint is gone.
