October 10, 201312 yr Setting altitude on the Quality Wings 146 aircraft results in setting the wrong altitude. For example, “set altitude Flight level 060” will set the altitude at 5600. The command works with all my other aircraft and I’m sure MCE is understanding me correctly (the red text confirms this) but for some reason the FO just isn’t twisting the knob enough Any ideas? Cheers

October 12, 201312 yr Author Still 100 feet off :( not that it's massive but when I ask the F/O to set a height I kind of expect it to be set.
October 12, 201312 yr Commercial Member Still 100 feet off :( not that it's massive but when I ask the F/O to set a height I kind of expect it to be set. It may happen occasionally. More likely to happen if say asking to set altitude 31000 from zero. Quick testing done with 146 under FSX has shown 1 out of 10 instances where FO doesn't get it right. This aircraft doesn't have an SDK which would make the process a breeze. Could make it 100% provided you accept the compromise of having the dialling slowed a bit. Are we talking about FSX, Prepar3D or FS9? What other complex aircraft do you use MCE with? Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com
October 12, 201312 yr Author I wouldn't say I've used it with any 'complex' aircraft. The most complex being the ERJ series from wilco (I think I can't check I'm mid flight with fspassenger) and the JS41 from PMDG. This is with FSX. It's happened at every altitude setting in this flight so far (4 maybe 5), it's not a major thing, the bug dialing with the mouse is a major pain so 100 foot isn't anything mayor to deal with and I can live with it. Although another thing is it doesn't dial the correct heading either the FO says, "OK" and doesn't do anything or just this very second I asked him to dial a new heading and he said it was set already and it's not. Thank you for your time. nija edit: an update system would be good rather than downloading the whole thing again.

Have not upgraded our QW 146 installation. I believe there was an update released a few days ago. Is the issue happening with old version, or did it appear since the upgrade (assuming you did upgrade) Here is a tweak that might get the altitude to dial correctly without us changing anything in the source code Go to C:\Users\your_user_name\AppData\Roaming\Multi Crew Experience\ folder Open "mce.ini" using Notepad and look at the [PACE] section Change "MCPdial=100" to "MCPdial=150" and save the file. If that doesn't do it, try "MCPdial=160" (or up to 200). Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com
October 12, 201312 yr Author OK thank you, i've not looked for an update but will do. I'll investigate on my next flight, once again thank you for your time
