Voxatc and md11

Featured Replies

Hi guys the problems i,am having when i use voxatc in my md11 it make my button on my overhead panel changes to blue , white and black more like the colour of the fsx start up screen , am using windows 8. Thanks Greg

As far as I remember, the MD11 uses the max amount of popup windows in FSX so the automated process of the VoxATC panel installer mixes up the panel.cfg and therefore the MD11 function.

The solution isn't too complicated but has to leave out the automation. First, check other planes for the relevant VoxATC entries. Should be two of them. Second, free up some window spots (literally) in the MD11 panel.cfg (backup first), which means that you e.g. remove some popups you don't use or need and which don't look too vital to you.

So if there was a 2D cockpit view for the FO which you will never use, remove that one. The reason being that this window number will now become the first VoxATC entry. As you go on, you will have to remove another MD11 view and set the second VoxATC popup window.

When done, save the new panel.cfg and check fly. As said, the auto installer just tries to add some more windows, which usually works, but not with the MD11 already being at the limit. :mellow:

These are the 2 windows Vox puts into your panel.cfg:

////<VoxATC
Window35=VoxATC
Window36=VoxATC Recent Comms
////<VoxATC

.......

////<VoxATC
[Window35]
visible=1
position=4
size_mm=400,200
pixel_size = 400, 200
background_color=0,0,0
ident=14077
zorder=5
alpha_blend=0.65
gauge00=VAGauge!VoxATCPrompt,0,0
////>VoxATC

////<VoxATC
[Window36]
visible=1
position=5
size_mm=400,600
pixel_size = 400, 600
background_color=255,255,255
ident=14078
zorder=5
gauge00=VAInfo!VoxATCInfo,0,0,400,600
////>VoxATC

The window numbers may vary.

As CoolP said: Replace 2 unused windows with these (backup first).

Keep the window numbers consecutive.
