Install livery on JS4100?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know how liveries are installed on the JS4100?.....the JS4100 aircraft is not in the variant box located in the livery manager,  just the 737-800/900NGX is there.

If the livery is from the PMDG website, you just download the livery installer, and run the installer just like any other program.

If the livery is from a third person (downloaded from sites such as the AVSIM library), instructions may be included to assist in manually installing rhe livery.

That's because the livery manager only works for the NGX and no other product.

I tried that but the livery installer variant box inside the livery manager does not have a JS4100 aircraft inside,   it only has the 737NGX series aircraft,    how can someone get the JS4100 aircraft insde the variant installer box in the livery manager so the liverys can be installed?

The PMDG livery manager does not work with the JS4100.  You install JS4100 liveries the same way that you install 99% of the add-on repaints in FSX-land... by copying a texture folder from a downloaded archive into your JS4100 folder, then copying and pasting [fltsim.##] data into the aircraft.cfg.   Continuing to try to use the PMDG livery manager for the JS4100 will only lead to more frustration, because the livery manager does not work with their older aircraft.  Find a livery that you want, download it, then follow the instructions that are almost always included in a readme.txt file.

Cheers!
