DX10 Fixer - starting over

Featured Replies

I've been using all the free bits from Steve ( with great help from Paul J; many thanks Paul ) and I've sorted my fsx.cfg and nVidia Inspector stuff but now I'd like to start over with the payware fixer.

What do I need to delete etc. to start fresh?

If this has all been posted before, my apologies and please point me to the link.

Thank you

I think you need to reinstall the original Shader folder, but there is mention of what you need to do in either the DX10 forum, or the DX10 Fixer forum.  I do remember reading a thread(s) on this by other posters.

Yes - I would delete the patched ShadersHLSL folder first, (replacing it with this one, or your backed-up one), along with the Shaders10 cache folder in :-

C:\Users\[ your username here }\AppData\Local\Microsoft\FSX\  OK! (Thanks, Mitch!)

All the Best,

Thank you both.

I assume then I delete the existing fsx.cfg  for fsx to rebuild - yes? so starting from scratch.

I'm not sure if you have to be that drastic...but I surely would create a desktop copy of your existing .cfg file, so you can then delete, have it rebuild, but then...have the option to A/B compare the new with the old to see if you want to transfer over any entries to the new rebuilt.  Just a suggestion.....
