October 18, 201312 yr There are quite a few programs that cannot find my FSX.exe since I installed it onto a different place than the standard C:/Program Files (x86)/Flight Simulator X When I launch a program to install (such as PMDG 777 installer), it asks me to manually navigate the installer. How do I manually navigate an installer? Very thankful for any answers
October 18, 201312 yr 1.- I don't own the PMDG777, so I don't know how its installer works; But if an installer is asking you to navigate to your FSX install path, then there should be a button with a "folder" icon or perhaps "..." or maybe something else, like a custom setup option, etc. If you find it, then click on it; a dialog box should appear allowing you to navigate to your FSX install path (Just click on the drive and path to your FSX).Once selected, click to apply (Usually a Button "Open") . 2.- Maybe your registry is missing some FSX keys or they are pointing to a different path. Then You can fix that by using the Flight1 Registry Repair Tool 3.- Finally many addon installers won't allow you to navigate, as they expect to find the FSX registry key; if they don't, then the Flight Tool above will fix that issue. Remember to always run installers as Administrator. Hope that helps you. Ramón. Time, is the one thing no one can buy.
