Landing Light effect?!?

Featured Replies

I have noticed alot of aircraft, such as lears and boeings, etc etc, that have landing lights that flash. The lights are nice, and look good in my opinion. They simply just flash when turned on. Left flashes then dims out as the Right comes on, then the same with the left.Is their a way that this can be simulated in FS? I think it would be great if it could.

That would be the battery not giving enough power to them initially, then making up the difference when the alternator kicks in...

I like those PulseLite systems. I'd like to see this option on more planes myself.Go here to ses more about the real ones: http://www.pulselite.com/There's a couple movies on the homepage.

yeah, i think its a nice look and touch to the aircraft. Does anyone know if this can be simulated in FS?

our medical helicopter has them that flash they say they have to as a emergency helicopter here i compare them to what we call wig wags on our ambulances. they say it gets peoples visual attention better.

to me, they look really nice. i hope there is programmer that would create a effect for FS.Is there a way this can be done? :-jumpy

Nice effect, I'm supposing you can turn off the pulse effect and have them steady again. I wouldn't want to land with them on like that. It looks like it might cause some bad illusions once the beams were lighting the runway surface.----------------------------------------------------------------John S. I've read that it gets birds attention also. I think something like a 20% reduction in bird strikes.

From the videos i have seen, they flash during approach, then when you touch down, they return to steady again.Do you guys know if this be simulated? :-jumpy:-wave

Just realized on MSTS, users of MSTS, get in the Dash-9 and turn headlights to full, then look at the front of the locomotive. You will see the ditch lights flash. Could something like this be done for fs but in a more orderly manner? :-wave
