December 4, 200421 yr Mr Cantu-I am thoroughly enjoying your 727-200 model. It has to be the best model out there, payware or sim, and it works perfectly with the DF panel (soon to be released). Are you planning on doing the -100? If not, please, please do that one, then I will be a happy guy in your debt forever! Thanks for all your hard work. JCH COMM, ASMEL, IA

December 6, 200421 yr Eric's 727 is the best out there. I see a lot of flaws with DF's 727 model which are pretty obvious. For one, I don't know of any 727 with JT8D engines that do not have inlet vanes... I'm not getting too in depth on it, but nonetheless, I don't think it's worth $35.00 for a product that is far inferior for quality than a freeware A/C. I mean, even if you were to buy it just for the panel, it's still not worth $35.00 for a panel. Probst's panel is just as good, if not better. From what I heard, they had a 727 captain design the exterior model (DF), and if it's true, then why are there so many flaws? Doesn't make a whole lot of sense guys... Anyway, just my 2-cents...Allan
December 6, 200421 yr I think it is only fair that we actually wait for the DF727 before we comment on its quality. :) Ark -------------------------- I9 9900K @ 5ghz / 32GB G.Skill (Samsung B) / Aorus Master Mobo / EVGA GTX 2080Ti FTW 3
December 6, 200421 yr Ok, I apparently opened a can of worms with my original post.Gentlemen, let me assure you, having owned nearly every piece of payware out there, and having been beta testing the DF 727 for many hours now, the DF 727 will not only be worth the wait, but well worth what I'm sure will be a modest price (I don't know how much it will be, but it will be much less than it should be, trust me!).This has to be one of the most realistic, immersive add-ons to date. And having studied the 727 series of aircraft for years, I can honestly say it will be the closest to the real thing you will ever get in FS. I don't say this just because I'm a beta tester. I am truly impressed with the level of detail and dedication to getting it right by this team. It has been tweaked to the -nth degree ( and how!)I only meant to tell Mr. Cantu that the quality of his work is excellent, I'm amazed it is freeware, and that I'm enjoying his models immensley. I have his 737-200 as well, and it is better than any other I have seen, in MY opinion. I only hope we can expect more great work from him, and that all will show their appreciation.Much longer winded than I meant to get, sorry. JCH COMM, ASMEL, IA
December 6, 200421 yr I was actually just messing around with my post. I went back to edit in a "smiley face or grin" but the time had passed for me to edit my post.No worries. :) Ark -------------------------- I9 9900K @ 5ghz / 32GB G.Skill (Samsung B) / Aorus Master Mobo / EVGA GTX 2080Ti FTW 3
December 6, 200421 yr >I think it is only fair that we actually wait for the DF727>before we comment on its quality. >>:)>>What's to wait for? Photos of it have already been posted; I myself am not impressed with what I seen. Maybe I'm being a bit harsh here, but in my opinion, the DF 727 visual model needs a major overhaul and re-working. Even if I did buy it (which I'm 99.9% sure I won't), it'd better hold right to the numbers for performance also. I'm fortunate enough to have a complete 727 FCOM with all the engine variants. :)Allan
December 11, 200421 yr Even if all you buy it for is the panel, Allan, it will be worth the money, trust me! JCH COMM, ASMEL, IA
December 12, 200421 yr Hello Allan,I wanted to jump in here and give my .03 cents worth. As for Erick's 727, it IS a nice bit of freeware, nicely done, flies relatively well in the basics, is pretty simple and straight forward for the majority of FS addon's -- but it by NO means represents what a real 727, (even with FlightSimulator's restrictions) flies.I downloaded it, matched it with RP's panel and have spent a few hours flying it and it was enjoyable, but when I want to fly what represents a real 727, (again, with FS9's restrictions and limitations), the DF727 is the ONLY way to go.No aircraft for FS is perfect in any regard. Erick's has many flaws in the visual area, (and still remains a great work of freeware)and I'm sure the DF does too, but the DF is far more accurate in total area. Now, I'm not sure how many 'real' 727's you've flown, but I would be willing to bet I've been PIC in more 'real' ones than you have probably seen. Not a slam, just a fact unless you are an ATP rated pilot with x number of hours in the left seat.I can tell you this, this aircraft is spot on. No CS eye-candy and diving approaches' here, my friend. You fly it like the book says, and it responds like Boeing built it. And DF has spent tons of hours to get it right, down to the smallest little detail. Is it worth the dollars? Well, I think so, as I know what has gone into the development of this new offering. Is it worth it to you? that is up to you and what your opinion is of what makes up an excellent payware aircraft.Bottom line, Erick's work is really nice, and I've told him so in a few e mails. I think he has tons of talent and if I didn't like it, it wouldn't be in my hanger. When I want to fly a 727 and am limited for time, and just want to relax and cruise, I'll fly Erick's. And believe me, that is a compliment from a real world, 16 thousand hour ATP rated pilot. But, when I want to do it by the numbers, follow procedures, and take the time to fly what I consider a most realistic aircraft and copy of a 'real' 727, there is but only one for me, the new DF727.But I'm a bit biased, I've lived with this thing for awhile, nurtured it, seen its development and how much care, love and time and effort has gone into its making . . . and also know how much the other beta testers and developers have toiled to make this a great production. It's been worth every minute of my time and effort, and I think I can speak for all of us, in that area . . . we've come up with a great aircraft for FS.Best to you and yours, this holiday season.Clayhttp://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...ers/Dopke01.jpgClayton T. December 12, 200421 yr Very soon, might be an understatement! If you checked every day, I don't think you will have long to wait.BestClay
December 12, 200421 yr Frame Rate hit? What are your system specs? On my little old P4, 1.7 most payware ships are too stutter ridden to enjoy...MY fault, not the developer's, of course.Regards,Jim
