Missing sound files student pilot lesson 3

Featured Replies

I was puzzled by lack of any verbal instruction during the final exercise in Student Pilot Lesson 3. A quick look at the lesson adventure file and associated sound folder showed that 6 wave files s3-61 to s3-66 are missing. Anyone else see this?A quick look at FS2002 shows that these files *are* present there, so I'll try copying them across.I wonder if any other files are missing? I am patched to 9.1 so I would expect MS to have fixed it if it had been reported before.--Bryn

More info: I tried the FS2002 files and they work ok, but the lesson still fails to come to a definite conclusion. I notice the code in lesson 3 has a CaseWait statement in the final module, wherease the 2 previous lessons have CaseEnd. I don't know the details of the language used, but could this be the reason for the failure of the lesson to formally end?--Bryn

At least you looked at the ABL. Make a copy of the ABL file, rename the original, then change the statement in the copy, rename the copy to the name of the lesson. Try the lesson again and see if it completes. You can download the FS2004_ABL_SDK from http://www.microsoft.com/games/flightsimulator/ , downloads, FS2004SDK.W. Sieffert

I just wonder what else got missed out.--Bryn

Interesting that nobody else noticed till now.

Is there anyplace you could post the corrected file(s) here for those who want it?If not, I would appreciate it if you emailed to me:[email protected]
