October 26, 201312 yr I have been spending all my time in Hawai'i because I dread the Winter. Growing up in the NY area meant 6 to 8 feet of snow every year, not to mention the cold feet and hands, the sniffles, the itchy warm underwear, etc. Now, where I am living, it is always balmy and pleasant - most of the time, I do not even wear a shirt out here on the farm. But, here I am, back in Alaska, at Bear Cove. Lots of snow, of course. They only have about 3 weeks of Summer in Alaska, is that right? I like the Kenai Peninsula quite a lot, mostly because of the interesting strips there. And there is a very nice view. My destination today is Oyster Cove - the strip there is on a narrow piece of land. Almost makes me want to visit the real place, but only in the Summer. Best regards. Luis Hot, humid Caribbean paradise!
