hi i reinstalled my fsx till 0430 last night..i got the info on how to uninstall and install from pmdgs website, so im sure i did it correct..i installed fsx, then installed sp1, everything great sofar, but when i went to install sp2, i keep getting this msg...microsoft flt sim x service pack 2 setup ended before complete installation.....and so on...i would really apprecate any help...i have windows 7 64 bit i think it is a 4 quad, im not all that up on computer lingo..i had sp2 installed on my previous fsx program..rgds ken hanson..ps i did run fsx between  sp1 and sp2 ...  i have windows 7  x64-based pc  ram 8.00gb  total virtual memory 20gb

This is not a PMDG problem. We aren't general tech support for FSX, Windows etc.

I had a similar problem installing SP2 for FSX.  This took place several years ago.  I would get part way through the installation, and then it would roll back (not installed).  After much phone discussion with the FSX technician on the help line, they essentially gave up.  They send me a copy of Acceleration, which can be used in place of SP2.  Don't use both at the same time. This approach has worked for several years.

me again...when i downloaded this thing for the umpteenth time, i opened it in winrar and it says the archive file is corrupt....thanks for all your  help guys rgds ken

 i finally got it to work..i used internet  explorer..i used google as my browser, i went to internet explorer and couldnt believe it was installing..it installed sp2....
