October 29, 201312 yr Hi, I'm kind of stuck on this one. Installed the 331.65 drivers yesterday when something went wrong. When I boot "normal" after the initial Windows animation the screen goes black. When I boot in safe mode the it freezes on "classpnp.sys" for a few seconds and then I get a black screen with a mouse cursor. Tried to use Windows Repair without luck. I got no backup to restore the computer to an earlier point. I got a second computer at my disposal, is it possible to install drivers by connecting the disk and using Windows on the second computer? Or does anyone else have any solution to this problem?
October 30, 201312 yr If your mobo supports it, you might try disabling or removing your nVidia card, and enable the i7-2600K's HD3000 integrated graphics in the BIOS, and boot into safe mode with that. Uninstall the driver in safe mode, then reboot and re-enable the nVidia card in the BIOS. Re-download the driver in case your file is corrupted, and do a clean install. October 30, 201312 yr Try moving the Video card to a different PCI-e slot. Also, disconnect any devices other than Keyboard and Mouse. Also go into the BIOS and disable all onboard devices (sound, USB, etc.). If Windows still can't boot, try hitting F8 during Windows OS boot so you can select Debugging mode ... OR you can try Last known Good Configuration Rob
