Anyone recognise this 'ACARS ATIS' pop-up message?

Featured Replies

Can anyone tell me what the source of this message is? It pops up when I press F2 (which is already in use), but I can't seem to locate the programme that is producing it, even though I've searched and searched the programme interfaces. (I thought it was most probably PFE, but F2 is not one of the keyboard assignment possible there, as far as I can see).

Googling didn't help either.

It could be coming from FSUIPC (registered version), Oncourse Software's FDC, or PFE (as I say), or PMDG's 747-400.. At least those are the most likely... but could be something else.

I'll be grateful if someone is able to identify where this is coming from, so I can turn it off!

Thanks,

Martin

OK, just found an option in PF2000 Emulator 'use PFE ATIS'. I unchecked it and I'll see what happens - but I still don't see why it's associated with the F2 key, if this is indeed the reason I get the pop-up.

The message is definitely from PFE. It's supposed to be associated with the 2 key, not the F2 key. In PFE click the Options #1 button and then Hotkey Options. This will show you a list of all the hotkeys (see pic). If you can't fix the problem there, I suggest you post your problem on the OnCourse support forum. Maybe some other program you're running is conflicting with PFE.

Thanks. It is associated with the '2' key, my error. I went through that box to check, but since I was looking for F2..

But I can't really just uncheck the box in PFE, or I presumably won't be able to use the '2' key at all... I have to investigate under what circumstances the '2' key is used for ATIS..
