I finally purchased the Q400 today, and am currently moving the docs to my iPad. Everything from the document index of the program seems to be available in PDF format except for the sample flight (Downsview to Trudeau). Are there any plans to do so? If not, how can I create a PDF file myself?

I think Word can save in pdf format and also is able to open html, so if you have that MS Office suite, you might be able to just convert it. Works quite ok with my 2010 version.

 

But I'm sure some freeware file converters also do the trick. You could also open it with your browser and have a freeware pdf printer installed, then 'print' it.
