Wondering if any of you have seen this problem along the coastline in parts of Europe. I'm using FTX Global with UTX under DX10 (although same problem in DX9..)

 

In the first pic I have this odd line and cut-off scenery in the water (this is above Dubrovnik in Croatia). I can't get rid of this line or scenery cutoff despite shuffling the scenery priority around.

 

The other problem is - with UTX ENABLED - Dubrovnik disappears(!) leaving me with just trees and background tiles.

 

The second pic shows what happens when I disable UTX. Dubrovnik reappears but the white line and cutoff scenery remains.

 

Any ideas as to what is causing it and how I could fix it?

I think that you are mainly seeing some very default FSX definition when it comes to the place. Now UTX Europe doesn't cover Croatia, so I'm as surprised as you are when it comes to the changes it causes. Did you check if you have the latest version?

 

If you wanted some Croatian definitions, you could head for Croatian Airports, an older package with three airports and a larger part of landscape, covering Dubrovnik or you take a look at what OpenVFR offers since they also have Croatian packages. Maybe also Orbx covers the place sooner or later with the Vector products.

 

And maybe even some freeware is available. Edited. I've found a recent thread where a member says that he's working on at least some coastlines. Maybe this could help, but it isn't available yet. http://www.simforums.com/forums/croatian-coastline_topic30117.html

Am considering Croatian Airports although I don't fly there very often but the real world scenery looks wonderful so thought I'd plan some flights around there so may go for that.
