Aircraft Carrier

Featured Replies

Trying to find out about some good Aircraft Carriers. I see there is a payware add-on from Abacus I am not to interested in the Aircraft but I am interested in how the Carriers are. Is it worth getting for that alone? Is there a better add-on freeware or payware available. Any info would be appreciated.ThanksAndrew

Andrew

Hi Andrew,If the Abacus addon is worth the money ?? I can't tell. But if you are looking for freeware alternatives...- File waikato1.zipThe Waikato carrier, by Savern Rewati- File rcbco-11.zipAn catapult/arrester addon package, from me and Doug DawsonWhich you can add to any aircraft you already have. See the Readme in this package for suitable aircraft.Cheers, Rob BarendregtPS:As a teaser: a new version of the COP package will be released shortly...

>PS:>As a teaser: a new version of the COP package will be released>shortly...Now you're just being evil! :-hahAnother carrier I still use is Javier Fernandez' John C Stennis for FS2000 (cvn74jf.zip) - still works fine as a carrier in FS2004, using the package mentioned above if you want to use a fast jet. It's off the US West Coast near Monterray / Santa Barbera). Also HMS Ark Royal (hmsroyal.zip & hmsroyfx.zip) is available although I have never actually got around to testing that one! :-shy Ark Royal is apparently at the exit to the Meditterranean, near Gibraltar.Hope that helps.Ian P.
