November 1, 201312 yr Hi PMDG and FSX Community, Firstly let me say the PMDG 777 is very good in flight model and looks, definitely a long way to go to master it! I am writing to let you know what triggered my one and only freeze for at least 30 seconds.I have installed Aerosoft MA Heathrow, UT2 all settings on traffic are 100%, scenery is dense and so is complexity.I chose the BA777 and did a short flight from EGLL to EGCC shortly after take off once I reached the cruise altitude I turned on AUTO TIME COMPRESSION from the FMC then after a few seconds turned it off, I then immediately right clicked the CHRONO CLOCK to turn AUTO TIME COMPRESSION on as soon as I did this it froze. I have read alll the intro manual and tutorial pages and KYLE and others are right if you read PMDGs recommendations you should be fine. After the freeze stopped my flight was fine. My second flight right after and after restarting FSX was again BA777, MA Heathrow and UT2 with all traffic maxed! as well as the scenery settings in the above flight. I was going from EGLL to KTPA. This time I only switched AUTO TIME COMPRESSION on from the CHRONO CLOCK and no issues no problems whatsoever and reached TAMPA obviously very quickly at x16 no glitches, stutters, freezes or ctds perfect flight. Just giving some info to try and help perhaps eliminate stuff and let you know how it froze for me. My specs are very modest: Windows 8.1 Intel Haswell 4670 running at stock 3.4GHZ speed 8GB Crucial Memory DDR3 1600MHZ NVIDIA GTX650Ti Superclocked and with 2GB of GDDR5 Memory Seagaate 7200RPM Hardrive at least 5 years old. ASUS Z77-K Motherboard The 777 is in my opinion more frame rate friendly then the NGX and more efficient. Good job just trying to help hope you fix the remainder of issues soon and release the SP but all in good time. Blessings Duncan Odgers
November 2, 201312 yr I am also having freezing problems with my 777. This same scenario has happened several times. I am parked at KLAS (FSD) and after pushback and startup I have a long taxi to 25R. I wait for the runway to clear and lineup when the tower clears me for takeoff. I start my roll and a few seconds after I engage TOGA FSX justs locks-up permanently. The only way out is CTL-ALT-DEL and start the task manager to shutdown FSX which is shown as "Not Responding". Any ideas? Charlie FelixIntel Core i7 7700k @ 4.8 GHZ OC, Gigabyte Z270x G7 mother board, 32GB DDR4/2666, 1000 Watt power supply, GTX 1080i-11GB, 512GB & 1TB SSDs, 2TB HDD, Windows 10 Pro (64-bit)
