Cannot see outside.

I like IFR flight but I don't want to have to make 0 - 0 Take-offs all the time.  I have starting  porting over my FSX files to P3D.  Here is my problem.  When I started with the POSKY planes, the Airbus's went without a squabble but I am having a heck of a time with the Posky 777. I cannot see outside the 3D cockpit.  2D is fine but 3d is borked until I go to Afternoon, Night, and monrnig modes then I can see just fine.   I think unless someone can tell me different it is an Alpha Channel issue with the daylight file for the VC.  My problem is I cannot find the darn file that controls that use.  If anyone has ran into this and fixed it please pass the knowledge pipe around!  I have DXTBMP.exe but until I know which file , it pretty much is useless.  When you are in 3d mode in the virtual cockpit and looking outside, are you using a Texture file or is this a Panel file?

Any help on this folks I would appreciate.

I have been trying for the last 3 weeks to crack this problem and have no luck and no response to this topic.  Am I the only one that has had this problem? This issue has so far only been related to POSKY 777 aircraft. I can see fine through the windshield of Airbus anything (so far). The windshield becomes unusable only on daylight. If I use any other mode it works fine.

When i first load the aircraft up it and I switch to VC you can see outside just for a moment until something else decides to load. I have tried editing the glass file for the vc but no luck.

You will have to do some searching.  I searched for problems with posky VC textures and came up with a lot of hits.  Here's one that might help - http://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?222081-problems-with-POSKY-B777-200-VC-textures.

Best regards,

Jim

Jim,

Appreciate the response, I will do some research on that thread you gave but my issue is just looking out the windshield.  I can see perfectly fine if my outside environment is night, dusk or dawn. It is when I have daylight that the windows turn a darker purple  and nothing can be seen through the windows.  The Guages and cockpit are just perfect!

That truly is a strange issue.  Did you see this site at Posky where you can download upgraded features?  http://poskyarchive.com/category/boeing/b777-200/.  Perhaps you should replace the whole VC package.

Best regards,

Jim
