C340 Panel lights issue

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Something similar has likely been talked about elsewhere in another aircraft's specific forum, but if so I haven't located it yet.

Got a weird problem in my C340. As it got dark outside, my digital fuel flow gauge and the GPS screens went black on me. They're still running, I just can't see them; com frequencies still switch as normal, at least by clicking on the ATC pop-ups. And the Shift1 pop-up still brings up the 2D GPS, but since the AP doesn't seem to "tune" to that GPS, it's basically a glorified map.

Also, (and ultimately more of an issue), when I turn on the main panel lights, my textures go all transparent! Just a bunch of knobs hanging in space.

I remember seeing something like this AGES ago, when I first hopped in FSX, but that was years ago. Any suggestions as to how to fix this?

Thanks in advance.

And, as usual, I declare myself an Idiot!

I bought this aircraft years ago when I was still attempting (and more often than not, failing) to run FSX from my laptop. The aircraft ran OK, but without a 2d panel it was hard to read the gauges on my little laptop screen.

So when I reinstalled into my desktop recently (well, back in March, but just getting around to flying this puppy now), I remembered to retain the original download and registration info, but TOTALLY forgot about the patch.

Which I discovered on these pages the other day. Downloaded and installed, and my panels are working properly in the night hours now.
