  1. Yep, you are correct. Image number 6 at Carenado's main site shows it pretty well, in the center console between the seats, just like in the B200. Indicator lights top-center in each pilot's dash section.
  2. And, as usual, I declare myself an Idiot! I bought this aircraft years ago when I was still attempting (and more often than not, failing) to run FSX from my laptop. The aircraft ran OK, but without a 2d panel it was hard to read the gauges on my little laptop screen. So when I reinstalled into my desktop recently (well, back in March, but just getting around to flying this puppy now), I remembered to retain the original download and registration info, but TOTALLY forgot about the patch. Which I discovered on these pages the other day. Downloaded and installed, and my panels are working properly in the night hours now.
  3. Hi all, Something similar has likely been talked about elsewhere in another aircraft's specific forum, but if so I haven't located it yet. Got a weird problem in my C340. As it got dark outside, my digital fuel flow gauge and the GPS screens went black on me. They're still running, I just can't see them; com frequencies still switch as normal, at least by clicking on the ATC pop-ups. And the Shift1 pop-up still brings up the 2D GPS, but since the AP doesn't seem to "tune" to that GPS, it's basically a glorified map. Also, (and ultimately more of an issue), when I turn on the main panel lights, my textures go all transparent! Just a bunch of knobs hanging in space. I remember seeing something like this AGES ago, when I first hopped in FSX, but that was years ago. Any suggestions as to how to fix this? Thanks in advance.
  4. Hi all, I posted this on another forum as well, but figured a second post here couldn't hurt. I have a really strange issue with Wilco's Tilt Rotor (FSX), in that try as I might, I cannot get the right side motor to start. This applies to version 1.4, the patch to 1.5 , and both with or without the upgraded freeware VTOL gauge by Rob B available in the file library at SOH. Just for preemptive confirmation: Yes, SimConnect is present and fully working, as is the newest (Feb 4, 2013) version of Pete's FSUIPC4. All other add-ons utilizing these modules work like a charm without issue. And this Wilco aircraft is installed on a Win7 x64 machine, with all the usual permissions issues taken care of ages ago, in a fsx sp2/accel install. So, what is happening is this: Jump into the aircraft in cold and dark conditions, follow the checklist and the left engine fires right up with no problem at all. The right one, however, only gives me the whine noise of the starter spooling up, and this increase in rpm does show on the EIS display. But that's as far as it goes. The prop never spins up. Same thing happens if I load another aircraft first, get the motors running and drop the flaps then jump back into the Tilit Rotor... Once the scene rebuilds, the engines on the tilt are off, the props are horizontal, and I can't get the right one to start. Interestingly, I noticed that when the left motor is starting, the Master Caution panel lights up showing "Ignition On" and "Starter" are activated. But these lights never come on for the right motor. Also, there's a fuel warning light that comes on as well (can't recall its tag at the moment.) Now, I can force the issue and get the engine running, but only by slewing vertically up a thousand feet or so. Set the throttle to about 90%, come off of slew, and the engine is forced to be in running mode. When I do this, then all appears to be runnning perfectly ... no Caution lights about fuel, even and equal EIS numbers between engine 1 and 2, full functionality across all power settings, etc. So, it works (and flies remarkably well, I might add; lots of fun!)... but is not really ideal, of course! AND, if I land and shut down the motors but don't leave the sim, then I'm back to square one, with a no-go on the right engine. If anyone else has encountered this, please let me know what the devil is going on! I've checked, and double-checked, and triple-checked just about everything in my fsx install that I can think of, but can't fathom any solution. If you have an idea, lay it on me. Thanks in advance. Jason
  5. Yep, will give this a go as well. It's not that I don't appreciate a quiet cockpit. I typically fly A2A warbirds, so having a quiet experience at the yoke is rather novel. I mostly want the motor sounds to be apparent when I'm sitting on the tarmac with the windows open. I mean, I can open the windows at altitude, and as expected I hear the massive inrush of air. Wish I could say the same for the motors.
  6. +1 Same here, the motors are all but silent when inside the cockpit ... even with the wing windows open! If I crank the system sounds full up, as well as the FSX sound sliders, I can faintly hear the motors. Then I jump to an outside view, and wake my neighbors up ... across the street, lol. Joking, of course, but the sound imbalance between internal/external is rather extreme.
