  1. Certainly, The real aircraft does have fixed gear and is supposed to have this modeled in the model but if you hit G, you would hear the landing gear cycle and the aircraft could now belly land.. That said, This thread is somewhat old and a fix to fix the landing gear problem has been posted on page one of this thread (Post #9).. but may have also been fixed on Cera's end. Their website does mention a patch being out and available from the market you purchase from, but I don't recall if that issue was fixed by the patch. Hope this helps. -Damien As stated on the website, The aircraft does require acceleration.. It may not work with SP2 without Acceleration. -Damien
  2. keep in mind that Razbam has a very odd way of modeling the forward to hover transition.. It's very difficult due to the unrealistic uncommanded pitch up at about 80 kts transitioning from forward to hover. Anyways.. as mentioned earlier, the prop pitch axis is the axis you're looking for and can easily be set up as an axis on your throttle quadrant. -Damien
  3. Spilok, Stan gave you the link to the software he is using, FS Global 2010. It does include the entire world but at the cost of a lower resolution worldwide. "The Americas" is one of 3 software packages for FS Global Ultimate. It does appear that FS Global Ultimate is not downloadable. -Damien
  4. Vector's AEC tool is crap, but why would you expect a Vector tool to fix something that PILOTS software broke? Try the AFM tool to fix the PILOTS software problem.. Other than that, this is a FSX limitation.. FSX does not do anything other than flat airports. Even with modifying the scenery around the airport, it's not going to put hills on an airport so the airport has to adjust somehow.. Runways on cliffs is how it adjusts. -Damien I've got FSGU The Americas, Asia/Oceana and Europe/Africa. I'm absolutely happy with it. -Damien
  5. FSG Ultimate is the more recent version of the software released by Pilots. Per the back of the FSG Ultimate box, -Damien
  6. I do.. Found out shortly after release via their support forums they have no intention of modeling residential roads and their source originally was crowd-sourced info from open streetmaps. -Damien
  7. Agreed.. UTX was good for road placement and not making residential roads look like crap on approach. Sad thing is I live out in the middle of the country between 2 towns and there isn't a road that goes anywhere near where I live in vector, even though there are some high speed roads around here IRL... Obviously there was a problem with road classifications in Open Streetmap and ORBX decided to change sources.. hopefully they will fix the problem and include more roads.. I was pretty upset to find out that I was buying only some major roads when it seemed to be advertised like every road was included.. How upset would you be about spending that much money only to find out they only included highways.. Just my opinion. -Damien Honestly, never had a problem with UTX other than having to pay an arm and a leg to cover portions of the world.. I just stay on top of updates. -Damien
  8. Massive flooding in Wisconsin perhaps.. I'd like to hope that I'm the only one but the support forums have confirmed the anomaly. Sadly, a lot of their tech support has basically responded to issues like this with a very canned "This will be fixed in 1.20".. Furthermore, it appears that not every road it modeled in Vector, so sure, you get some major roads.. just not residential roads. Sadly, my road, a 12 mile-45mph stretch of road that runs past my place and connects more than 5 communities out in the country has been completely omitted.. and I'm sure I'm not the only one.. My point is, I get that software gets glitchy sometimes, things eventually get fixed. I just think this came out a bit too early and the customer base was used as beta testing.. look at their forums and you'll see a ton of support requests that haven't been answered and a ton of people who have reverted back to UTX
  9. Go take a flight around KSUW or KDYT.. but first, go take a look at google maps vs what you're seeing in FSX.. -Damien
  10. If it's anything like train sim, you will have only specific regions modeled, and can only fly planes that fly out of that airport. Sounds like MS Flight to me. -Damien
  11. Duluth itself is a very slow airport commercially.. The majority of the traffic being Civilian and military. Airport Operational Statistics Aircraft based on the field: 86 Single engine airplanes: 49 Multi engine airplanes: 10 Jet airplanes: 3 Helicopters: 3 Military aircraft: 21 Aircraft operations: avg 104/day * 35% air taxi 32% transient general aviation 23% local general aviation 8% military 2% commercial * for 12-month period ending 31 August 2013 -Damien
  12. A2A Simulations Cessna 172 -Damien
  13. FTX/Vector only plots major roads.. If you're looking for residential roads, You're out of luck... UTX plots all roads but only in the country package you purchase. -Damien
  14. RJSM to RJSA Misawa Airbase to Aomori Airport (Japan) RJSH to RJCJ Hachinohe Airbase to New Chitose airport (Japan) KABQ to KPHX Albuquerque (NM) to Phoenix (AZ) KDLH to KMSP Duluth (MN) to Minneapolis (MN) KDEN to KASE Denver (CO) to Aspen-Pitkin county (CO) -Damien
  15. have you messed with the scenery library? I'd had the same issue because I'd moved the vector files up in the scenery library hierarchy.. A reinstall of the base program fixed my problem. -Damien
