Buttkicker-Device List - SB X-Fi not listed

Featured Replies

Hi Stehpen,

my Buttkicker and SB- X-Fi Go Pro justed arrived and installed, but unfortunately the SB Xi is not listed in the ButtKicker Device list (OpusFSX_v334_Beta).

In Windows and FSX, the SB X-Fi is detected as a Sound-Device.

Any Idea?

I think this might be a language issue as the software should ignore the Primary Sound device that DirectX returns as this device is a bogus listing. Could you try just changing to English just to see if all the devices list correctly. I will have to think what I can do to recognise and ignore the Primary Sound entry.

For now try selecting the last entry because the 'Primarer Soundtreiber' entry should have been discarded as a device name.

I will look to see what I can do to rectify the problem for the next beta.

OK, I think I know how to correct this in the next beta. For now just select the last entry and that should work. When you upgrade to the next beta you will just have to reselect the correct device name which should now identify the SB X-Fi Go PRO USB device.

I will post the next beta soon as we are already testing the ButtKicker turbulent bumps and turbulent vibrations in flight.

Stephen,

thanks for the super-fast response ;)

It works now, the trick was the second-last entry...

OK, please let me know what happens after the next beta. Its proving quite difficult to obtain a matching list of audio device names but hopefully the next beta will match up otherwise I might just have to call them Audio Device No.1, Audio Device No.2, etc..

Stephen :-)
