November 8, 201312 yr Hi, i need a new computer for flying FSX with a lot of add ons and want a flawless field with high solution sceneries, traffic etc is this a good choice ? 1x Intel® Xeon E5-2630, 2,30GHz, 6-CoreIntel® C602 Chipsatz, 16 GB DDR3-RAM ECC120 GB SSD, 2 TB SATA 7.200 U/min, DVD-RWPNY Quadro 2000 Grafikkarte 1 GB (DVI, 2x DP)2x 1GbE, 7x/4x USB 2/3.0, Kartenlesegerät,Audio tks Marek
November 8, 201312 yr Hello Marek, I wouldn't choose XEON nor the Quadro for FSX. If you want hexacore consider the parts I have in my profile--totally happy w/ FSX performance. You can also consider the IB-E processor instead of SB-E, as IB-E will give you native PCIe 3.0 which may matter or not, plus a few more % total performance. The SB-E is known for very friendly overclockability--I run mine at 4.3 or 4.4Ghz no problem, friendly voltage. There are cheaper solutions than Titan GTX as well. You should get ample video ram, at least 4Gb, if not for FSX, then for P3D version 2 coming out sometime hopefully soon. Do be aware though: because of inefficiencies in the old FSX code, AND the built in scalability in FSX, AND w/ so many complex add-on airplanes and scenery there are no machines currently that can in all situations deliver perfect performance. But, it's very much good enough w/ modern parts now. Good luck! November 9, 201312 yr Author Noel, tks for the competent answer - As i am cardiac surgeon and have absolutely NO clue about PC and all the other components - can you text me exactly all the components of a PC that i should build in to. All of them so i can have a nice a smooth performance. Once again, tks a lot for your help Marek

Once again, tks a lot for your help Marek Marek, If you would like to spend your time flying rather than setting up and adjusting things I would strongly recommend you find a local or online resource that is dedicated to not only assembling the PC for flight simulation, but also completely setting up all of the software, add-ons you will like want to have, and fine-tuning this for you. It will be worth having less frustration and as you are a cardiac surgeon I have to assume you don't have lots of free time to dedicate to the countless hours new users spend trying to figure it all out and make it run well. If I lived in Vienna I would be happy to do that for you! I can tell you once you have the simulator completely setup, AND you follow some practices to keep it stable and trouble-free, you should indeed experience just that--stability and trouble-free performance. November 9, 201312 yr Author Tks Noel - How about i invite you to Vienna and we buy and set up this machine. What you think about the Computer setup from a Swiss guy ?
