Colour Change Message

Featured Replies

Always when I start FSX even before I switched to DX10, When starting FSX I get this message: The color scheme has changed. The following program has performed an action that requires Windows to temporarily change the color scheme to Windows 7 Basic.

I have always noticed my colors in all virtual cockpits in all planes look faded.

Anyone know anything about this? I do not have any external shader files installed except the ones installed with Steves dx10fixer.exe.

The message says when FSX closes it changes back to Windows Aero.

This has nothing to do with DX10 - the same happens with FX9!

Browse for "FSX and Aero" or so and You will find some more detailed information for sure!

Enjoy flying and happy landings.

P.S.: I want to apologize, but i have forgotten to mention one very important thing:

No harm is done to Your system - FSX "simply" changes to "Basic" while running, but all goes back to normal after FSX is closed - but agai saying:

This happens under DX9 too!

Cheers, Christoph
