PIREP - Any of the new FS9 planes decent ?

Featured Replies

Hi Folks,

Haven't been around in a while - as someone who has maintained a love/hate relationship with Carenado products over the years - are any of the "new" FS9 planes worthy of consideration ? The Cherokee 180, the Skylane RG, Mooney 201J, and the Cessna 206 are the ones I've been pleased with... We all know the visual models are unsurpassed - so I'm more interested in BUG/FDE reports...

Regards,

Scott

Other than the fact that the recent offerings (King Air C90, Cessna 337, Baron 58) don't have 2D Panels, they are OK. I have seen some comment that the Caravan is a little heavy on framerates, but the 337 I have flies pretty well.

I bet others will chime in...

Thanks for the input - yeah I'm a 2D panel dinosaur as well - but - it seems as if I need to improvise, adapt, and overcome if I want any new planes... I know the 337 was well received on the FSX side of the house - so that's what I was leaning towards... I hope I can get my RXP unit in it...

:)

Scott,

No worries! I think there have been some recent threads about integrating RXP goodies here and over at FlightSim. I don't know if Bernt Stolle did any FDE mods to the Skymaster, but out of the box she flies quite well.
