We're happy to demonstrate just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Prepar3D v2.0.

It's not a simple "code addition", or FSX code cleanup, the engine has been completely overhauled. Many of the features that were added were thanks to community suggestions!

Prepar3d is specifically created for customers wishing to learn about flight simulation, and it's not intended to be a "game" (hence, the license lingo used). The rumors about home customers not being eligible are 100% false, and originate from users from X-Plane series. We are blessed to have choices when it comes to Flight Simulation, and props to X-Plane for making a great simulator! We should encourage mutual development and competition, and not immaturity.

 

We hope this video was useful in demonstrating P3D v2's exciting new lighting visuals, we look forward to more features and enhancements from the Lockheed Martin team.
