Revisited... FSX CTD

Featured Replies

I'm sure this has been discussed before, but I can't find it in here.

I keep getting crash to desktop in FSX, sometimes when I first start it and more often when I try to use the top menu.

The error message I get is below.

Problem signature:
  Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
  Application Name: fsx.exe
  Application Version: 10.0.61637.0
  Application Timestamp: 46fadb14
  Fault Module Name: atiumdag.dll
  Fault Module Version: 9.14.10.984
  Fault Module Timestamp: 5253fcfa
  Exception Code: c0000005
  Exception Offset: 00024c81
  OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.48
  Locale ID: 2057

I have the latest UIAutoMationCore.DLL in place and am trying various compatibility modes.
Any one know what's wrong?
I have a clean install on a fresh windows install.

Getting mad with it now.
Cheers

It is the atiumdag.dll that is causing the problem, so your ATI graphics card, drivers or settings seems to be the problem.

Brilliant suggestion... It worked thank you.

I can't even remember installing the newer driver ... maybe an auto updater?

Hadn't even thought of that, just got stuck on the UIAutoMationCore.DLL idea.

Thanks for clearing my thoughts.
