Wheels brake at touchdown ...bug ?

Featured Replies

Ciao to everyone,I need some help to fix my problem..

As always I set autobrakes and I arm it before landing, but since some months now I notice that as soon as I touch runway on landing I see "red brakes word" on monitor when in really i don''t touch pedals...

Is this a known bug ?before summer this was not happening...

Thanks in advance for help...

You do realize what autobrakes are supposed to do, right?

Autobrakes brake for you.  That's why they're called autobrakes.

So, yes, without touching the pedals, the autobrakes should be going to work.  You touching the pedals (and adding more force than the autobrakes are providing) will kick the autobrakes off, turning control of braking over to you.

Correct.  Autobrakes do the braking for you, so what you described is them working properly.  I'm guessing that your hardware was interfering and kicking the autobrakes off, forcing you to manually brake.

Otherwise, what's the point of autobrakes?
