November 28, 201312 yr Currently I have a clean windows7 64bit install. No FSX currently installed. I am going one of two ways now: 1.reinstall FSX or 2.Go for P3d. My system: Q6600 overclocked to 3.2 Nvidia 8800gt 4 mb RAM Triplehead monitors Its old but actually runs FSX pretty good. Now it seems like I have a good opportunity to go with P3d, Ive got a totally clean 500gb drive and a fresh windows install. So what to do? I need to know if the following addons work in P3d: Horizon vfr scenery Orbx scenery Aerosoft beaver and twin otter A2A 172 RealAir duke and Lancair FSCommander Carenado Mogwaisoft shade Opus weather Flight1 Cessna Mustang Constellation
November 28, 201312 yr You can always try it and refund it if it doesnt meet your satisfaction but I think I can tell you that system isn't going to cut it. Specially the GPU. V2 is a big box program.
November 28, 201312 yr 8800GT? Prepar3D v2 wouldn't even start... ASUS ROG STRIX Z390-E GAMING / i9-9900k @ 4.7 all cores w/ NOCTUA NH-D15S / 2080ti / 32GB G.Skill 3200 RIPJAWS / 1TB Evo SSD / 500GB Evo SSD / 2x 3TB HDD / CORSAIR CRYSTAL 570X / IPSG 850W 80+ PLATINUM / Dual 4k Monitors
November 28, 201312 yr Thanks....FSX it is then  Come to P3D when you upgrade your GPU next time (something in the 600 series or above).. P3D v2 needs a decent DX11 card which the 8800GT isn't (DX9).. The simulator would legitimately not start. November 28, 201312 yr If it were me and I were starting from zero, I would definitely forge ahead with P3D. I have a very involved FSX installation right now, and I'm waiting for P3Dv2 teething pains to be worked out, so I'm not stepping up to the plate at this very moment. But if I had a totally clean slate to work with, I would definitely go forward with P3D, and then upgrade my hardware as necessary. Or upgrade my hardware and the P3D, if you prefer. I wouldn't go through the hassle of a full FSX/addon/ tweaking/tuning thing though, if it were me. That gives me nightmares.
