I have been reading old treads and it appears that the Tower View in FS2004 cannot be disabled? Is this correct? I don't have any add-ons like Active Camera.

Not sure about disabling it, but if your referring to once you have taken off you can't see much of anything from that view anymore, then try out flyby14.zip at AVSIM. It changes the tower view to a flyby mode. If you don't want to add anything, you can always go into the map view and move the tower to anywhere you want by dragging it on the map. There is also fscamera_156444.zip at AVSIM that gives you many of the functions of Active Camera. Personally I prefer Active Camera.

Yes, Active Camera offers the opportunity to bypass Tower view.No, otherwise you can't avoid it.Sometimes payware has a purpose!Allcott

I just downloaded and tried the flyby14.zip (v1.4) Freeware by Valery Stenin. I must say that the capabilities of folks to produce really good freeway always amazes me. Good job and thank you Valery!!!

I grabbed both freeware ones listed, but only installed flyby right now.
