Hi, 

 

I was just wondering why most of the jumbo jets are incapable of flying polar routes? Would I face the same problems in sim world? 

 

If you have flown over a polar route please share your experience.

no its due etops ( not for the 744 but for the 330,and 767) and en route alternates... ie there isnt many that are within 180 mins.

 

also you have to be polar equipped and trained to do it

saying that the 777 has had it extended ops range broadened so there is the possibility in years to come more operators will do it
