December 22, 200421 yr Hello All I have just aquired CH Flightsim Yoke USB and pedals USB The Yoke works fine but I cannot set up the USB pedals. Even though they are recognised and calibrated in Windows (XP) when starting FS2004 they do not work at all. Any ideas why this should be? Thanks in anticipation
December 22, 200421 yr 1. Make sure you don't have Autorudder enabled in the Realism settings.2. I'm not on my home computer to check, but I think you need to check the "Reverse Axes" box for the rudder pedals to work right.Best,Ken
December 22, 200421 yr Also check the sensitivity settings in the fs9 menu. Sometimes the sensitivity adjusts to zero and nothing works. ------------------------- Craig from KBUF
December 22, 200421 yr You say "calibrated in windows". Do you have the calibration program from CH? If not get it as it is much better than windows process. It is a free download. Also try disconnecting USB and then try calibration again. I have USB pedals and they work fine but the disconnect has been necessary on occasion. Don't see anything about reverse in this setup.
December 22, 200421 yr You don't need the software from CH however, unless you want to do more complex button programming. As long as windows can see the controller (and any CH usb stuff should), you just need to set the sensitivities in the fs9 menu and calibrate in fsuipc as well. That software module is just another thing running in the background taking up resources. ------------------------- Craig from KBUF
December 22, 200421 yr The software from CH lets you really calibrate the pedals to your liking. You will probably find that even at the minimum rudder sensitivity , taxiing the aircraft is difficult. You can go to the CH software and change the responsiveness for each axis prior to it getting to FS9. I chose 75% on the rudder and it is perfect for nosewheel steering.
