December 10, 201312 yr Hi, I am having a little problem getting the exact weather that ASN is saying and the weather in FSX. I load a flight plan in ASN and then load FSX, when I listen to the ATIS in radar contact the weather is never exactly the same. Ie. wind is maybe 10-25 degrees different and wind speed slightly different too. Anyone give me some help on this one? Cheers Rob Robert
December 10, 201312 yr Commercial Member Hi Robert, Wind directions are always "written" in TRUE degrees and "spoken" in MAGNETIC degrees. So depending on your magnetic variation at your present location, you will see the magvar offset appropriately. On the wind speed, I'm not completely sure,we'd need to compare the data. What does the METAR report say, and what do the CURRent interpolated conditions say (conditions screen, when you have blank ID)? And finally, what does shift-z say, and what about default FSX ATIS and/or ASN 122.0 atis? Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
