Hi, I am having trouble at the moment with the PFD and ND undocked panels on a 2nd monitor. 1. I open FSX and Select the aircraft and start a flight 2. I go to Views -> Instrument Panels -> Zoomed Left Outboard DU and Zoomed Left Inboard DU 3. I undock the panels 4. I then move the undocked panels to the 2nd monitor 5. Once there the 2 panels are the same panel but they should be one PFD and the other ND. So if i move the PFD first, i then get the PFD undocked panel but then when i move the ND undocked panel over to the 2nd monitor, it displays as the PFD. Even though the heading of the undock panels same 'Zoomed Left Outboard DU' and 'Zoomed Left Inboard DU' Anyone have this issue before and got a fix? I have nvidia inspectors settings:- Antialiasing - Behaviour flags - NONE Antialiasing - Mode - OVERRIDE ANY APPLICATION SETTING Antialiasing - Setting - 8xS Anisotropic filtering mode - USER-DEFINED / OFF Anisotopic filtering setting - 16x Texture filtering - negative LOD bias - CLAMP Texture filtering - Quality - High quality Multi-display/mixed GPU acceleration - SINGLE DISPLAY PERFORMANCE MODE Power management mode - PREFER MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE If i go right back to default on these, the problem goes away so it must be something in these setting. When i go back to default and open the PMDG 737ngx the display is very blurred and choppy whereas with the NVIDIA inspector to them settings the performance quality is excellent. Hi, As the title says, I am after some advice on setting up FSUIPC settings for the flight controls to make them as realistic as possible. I have been playing round for awhile trying to find the perfect set up but i am struggling, I either get them too sensitive or the told opposite! I am mainly trying to adjust with the slope figure, so any advice would be wonderful and I would try them out. Cheers Rob

Might be me going wrong then!!!! I thought the proatc symbol was auto run installer! So just need to copy and paste files and move them to the pro atc x folder?

I downloaded the 1.4 from the website, when I tried running it I got a error in German! Any suggestions why that happened?

I have already updated to 1.4, and that's when the problem started. So will anything change when I download of the download page? I think i just need the updated voices which I am meant to be downloaded from the website. Has anyone got that which I can have?

I have just upgraded to the new version of the software, excited i tried it straight away. Selected for clearance, clearance given but there was no read back from my co pilot. So i restarted to make sure i wasn't doing anything wrong, but nothing. i couldn't get passed the first step!!! So next step was straight to the forum...no forum just a error page! So next to avsim forum...found this thread and the first step, i see is the problem with the sound, great that's my problem. but the solution is to download the new sound set from the forum! Which i cant do because its down! Please help guys, i want to be able to have a flight tonight, any help? Rob

I have been trying to sort out the freezer issue with FSX, I seem to have gone through everything and I am back to where it all started. I never had problems with freeze until ASN, but because it's a great great program I have looked at everything to sort it out but unfortunately I can't fix it. Maybe ASN will have to be rested for awhile. Does any know of a fix? I did think they sorted it in a update but it doesn't seem so. Help?!!! Rob

First flight was good, no crashes! But the return leg was shocking, back to the crashes!!! The VAS on the return was better, when it crashed it was about 1.6GB. What next, maybe going to try and run through a flight without active sky next!

Hi, I have a problem with autobrake, on landing the autobrake when in setting 2 or below disarms straight away. On setting 3 and max it works. I think it has something to do with a failed attempt to do with me trying to set up two brakes on my Saitek rudder pedals through fsuipc. In my assignments I can't remove the settings, I try and select reset and it removes the figures but next flight they are back! Hope that makes sense. Please help! Cheers Rob

What are the ways to improve that figure? Is it just a case of adjusting the settings? When I left aerosoft Oslo is was getting around around 1gb. So hopefully will stay around that. Cheers Rob

Cheers for your advice, I have deleted my fsx.cfg and let fsx generate a new one. I changed some of my settings as some other advice I found with nvidia inspector. I have put the VAS logger on in fsuipc and started a flight. So far I haven't had any freezes, and I am nearly 1000nm into flight. Considering I had two freezes within 800nm last time! Fingers crossed! It the VAS monitoring I am getting around 1.25GB. Is that ok? Cheers Rob

Hi, I am currently using FSX, but am having massive problems with it freezing in flight. Sound continues, aircraft continuing flying and after 5-10 mins it returns to normal. How stable is Prepar3d v2? Cheers Rob

Cancel that excitement!! Just tried another flight, longer one than before, it had 2 freezes within 800nm! Totally fed up with it, does anyone no if Prepar3d v2 have any freezes like this? Am really tempted because this freezing has ruined flight sim for me at the mo!! Just end up flying expecting the annoyance of a freeze at anytime! Cheers Rob

Updates Active sky next to the SP Beta and just done a flight. It worked!! No more freeze, but will do more testing in the coming days. It was def not overheating, i ran a CPU temp monitor and the max temp it got to was 60 degrees C. Which i dont think is too bad! Cheers Dazkent for your help Rob

Hi, I am having a problem with FSX, that it freezes! This now happens on every flight i do, so am looking for possible ideas to fix this problem. The freeze happens for about 5-10 minutes, during this time sound still works, as does ATC and my aircraft fuel and continues flying. I am starting to think that the problem could be due to overheating of the processor. i will list my pc specification below. Overclocked Intel® Core™i5-3570k Quad Core (3.40GHz @ max 4.60GHz) ASUS® P8Z77-V LX: USB 3.0, SATA 6GBs, ATI®CrossFireX 8GB KINGSTON HYPERX GENESIS DUAL-DDR3 1866MHz X.M.P(2 x 4GB KIT) 2GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 670 - 2 DVI, HDMI, DP - 3D Vision Ready CORSAIR 650W ENTHUSIAST SERIES™ TX650 V2-80 PLUS® BRONZE SPIRE GEMINI REV.3-THERMAX HDT TWIN FAN CPU COOLER Whilst flying i am using:- PMDG 737NGX Active Sky Next with REX texture Pro ATC X AI Smooth FSX Fiber Accelerator VNPC - Virtual airline ACARS program Is it possible that my processor is overheating, and this causing the freeze? I have done the UIAutomationCore.dll and looked at the BIOS stuff. I dont run FSX on max settings like i wished thinking this might be the problem but with no success. Thanks Rob

I have been having trouble with FSX freezing, looking at the forum this seems to be a problem on ASN on longer flights.<br /><br />My question is when it freezes, I go into task manager and it says fsx is not responding. If I wait about 8 minutes does fsx continue working? Because at the moment I am ending the task, leaving me frustrated about not been able to fly!! <br /><br />So if I wait 8 minutes, fsx will continue?<br /><br />I have just seen the post about unlimited frame rates, so will try that tomorrow.<br /><br />Cheers<br />Robert<br /><br /><br />Robert

I only have one monitor and I run it on full screen, but had until recently running it on windowed. And had the same problem! Maybe there is no fix for it! It's not a problem, maybe an investment into a additional monitor!!! Robert

Is there anyway that when I select a pop up panel in the VC, like the FMC from the views menu. It doesn't disappear when i select another view. I use EZDOK camera program, when looking around I would like that the pop up panel remains selected. Is it possible? Robert

Hi, I am having a little problem getting the exact weather that ASN is saying and the weather in FSX. I load a flight plan in ASN and then load FSX, when I listen to the ATIS in radar contact the weather is never exactly the same. Ie. wind is maybe 10-25 degrees different and wind speed slightly different too. Anyone give me some help on this one? Cheers Rob Robert
