Autobrake - not working setting 2 and below

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a problem with autobrake, on landing the autobrake when in setting 2 or below disarms straight away. On setting 3 and max it works.

I think it has something to do with a failed attempt to do with me trying to set up two brakes on my Saitek rudder pedals through fsuipc.

In my assignments I can't remove the settings, I try and select reset and it removes the figures but next flight they are back!

Hope that makes sense. Please help!

Cheers

Rob

Hello,

Just to be sure, and it may sound obvious (you'd be surprised how many people make this mistake), but make sure that you don't physically have your feet pressing down on the toe brakes of your rudder pedals as even the slightest input may trigger the auto-brake system to disarm upon landing.

Next, you mention that you have some difficulty setting up your brakes on your rudder pedals through FSUIPC. To me, it sounds like you have the "profile specific" box ticked, which is causing the "failed attempt" assignments staying for your next flight after removing the figures.

There are many tutorials around the internet which can assist you in setting up your FSUIPC bindings. Should you have further trouble, I suggest reading the manual which is supplied with FSUIPC or even contacting someone on FSUIPC's forums.

If you end up correctly setting up your brakes and the auto-brake problem persists, I would suggest to reinstall the NGX and try again to see if the problem has been fixed.

Kindest Regards,

You need to run FSX as an administrator.  Settings that don't "stick" when you change them is a classic sign that you're not running as an admin.
