December 15, 201312 yr As the topic says. I am curious what can be accomplished and how the sim will run in terms of fps and smoothness. 5950x3d 5.4-5.7 GHz - Asus ROG 870 Crosshair Apex - GSkill Neo 2x 24 Gb 6000 mhz / cas 26 - MSI RTX 5090 Gaming Trio OC - 1x SSD M2 6000 2TB - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 1Tb - Corsair 5400 case - Corsair 360 liquid cooling set - 3x 75’ TCL tv. 13600 6 cores @ 5.1 GHz / 8 cores @ 4.0 GHz (hypterthreading on) - Asus ROG Strix Gaming D - GSkill Trident 4x Gb 3200 MHz cas 15 - Asus TUF RTX 4080 16 Gb - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 2TB - 2x Sata 600 SSD 500 Mb - Corsair D4000 Airflow case - NXT Krajen Z63 AIO liquide cooling - FOV : 200 degrees My flightsim vids : https://www.youtube.com/user/fswidesim/videos?shelf_id=0&sort=dd&view=0
December 15, 201312 yr Well, I had, but reverted back to: - Default mesh ( v1 I believe ) allover the World, and SimHeaven ZL17 photo scenery for some specific zones of Portugal and Spain, with Europe OSM + autogen, because: 1) Mesh v2 had a considerable impact on FPS for me ( about 5-10 fps lost ) 2) The Mesh v2 for photosceneries has some problems with missing coast lines for example, and it's a tedious work having to manually correct it for each zone, and it also had an impact on my FPS, at least when used with those ZL17s... It appears that the FPS loss was not so significative though than the one I experienced with the full European Mesh V2... I will wait for an updated mesh for photo sceneries from SimHeaven. Also, I am definitely into photo scenery because it is, at least for the areas I fly over most of the time, low and slow in my glider or GA, the most realistic coverage, and as far as I was told, this sort of scenery is an invitation for OOMs in FSX... I definitely need a new PC or graphics board, but I also need to renew my glider pilot license until March 2014... :-/ Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
