Anybody tried tweaking HDR?

Recommended Posts

Was having a read of Ben's blog just now and this caught my eye:

"** If you really want to get tweaky, most of the sub-effects within HDR mode can be accessed by settings.txt.  But if you edit settings.txt and your computer transforms into an alien cyborg and destroys humanity, don’t hold me responsible."

I wouldn't have the first clue about what I was doing to try tweaking but it's interesting to see it can be done, and makes me wonder if we can get some performance gains out of it. Anybody else given / want to give it a go?

I love that Ben make himself available to the rank and file user via the blog, even answering some of the ranty-er replies with calm, polite, and logical responses.  He's a great representative for the sim.

I looked into it to see if I could turn off the God forsaken engine exhaust blur, but got nowhere... didn't put much effort into it I must admit, but it wasn't immediately obvious how to do it.

Funny enough, I was looking at ways to make the exhaust trail blur *longer* so it looks more real when looking out the passenger window
