December 28, 200421 yr Hi,Some of the default FS9 runways and frequencies are wrong for Schiphol (EHAM) airport. Any help would be appreciated.regards,
December 28, 200421 yr Hello KFC,if you are looking for the 5th runway called "Polderbaan" and the new tower located close to it, have a simple look at the avsim file library. Select FS2004 as category and do a simple search for "EHAM".I haven't found a fix for the frequencies, but if you want to enhance the whole appearance of the Netherlands I would download Netherlands 2000 v2.91 for FS2004. It is a 217MB file and includes new landclass files for the dutch area, new navaids, Polderbaan at Schiphol, new Schiphol scenery, several dutch airports and more. Here's the link: http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=...hor=&CatID=rootMaybe a dutch forum member or a more frequent flyer to Schiphol can give you more assistance as I do.regards,Christianhttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/chrismo/sigsky.jpgVacation: wasted time between 2 flights!
December 28, 200421 yr Download NL2000, from here: http://www.nl-2000.com/There is also a 2004 version, and very friendly for the fpsjes..Johan[A HREF=http://jdserver.no-ip.com]Personal Server[/A]or..http://62.238.33.10
December 28, 200421 yr Hi,Thanks to both for your help, I will try them out. I am really not that familiar with the Netherlands area, but have read it is very nice and challenging to fly in. I based my assumptions on the DOD approach plates and airport diagrams I got for the airport. From what I see, runways 19R and 19L are actually runways 18L,C and R, or something like that. Below is the airport diagram I used. Many thanks again for your help,regards,http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/101953.jpg
December 31, 200421 yr The NL2000 Scenery does not address the problem that you are refering to. Yes all the parallel runway numbers have changed and the new runway 18R is a precision ILS approach. To resolve the problem download EHAM airport from the Active ILS Series of airports found on AVSIM in the FS2004/Misc section. Do a search on my name Jim Vile. I have written the XML compiled to bgl (AFCAD included) which renames all the runways and adds the correct ILS runways so ATC will speak the correct numbers and continue to use the runways when visibilty falls below 3 miles. I also developed the crosswind technique for FS2004 that many AFCAD designers are now using and incoporated that into my EHAM files. This is not a part of the NL2000 scenery nor does that scenery understand the naming/ILS for the runways. If you do decide to use NL2000 scenery then you will find that I have given copyrighted permission for certain AFCAD designers to use my ILS bgl files and incorporate them into the NL2000 program.Hope this helps also
